Global Warming Insanity.com

WHAT’S THIS INSANITY ALL ABOUT?

Here are three things you should know about me, the editor of GlobalWarmingInsanity.com:

  1. 1.I am a meteorologist by training.

  2. 2.I am a skeptic by nature.

  3. 3.I am a copycat.

There. I admit it. I have always been a big fan of the Drudge Report. I love clicking on those snarky headlines about the latest absurd global warming claims. I can't wait to read the latest goofy proclamations by Hollywood hypocrites like John Travolta. But I always wanted more! I dreamed of a website with nothing but absurd, funny and downright silly stories about global warming and environmental nuttiness. Environmentalists do a much better job of impeaching themselves than skeptics ever could. So, I launched GlobalWarmingInsanity.com. And as if to welcome me to the neighborhood, Ted Turner opened his cleft-chinned mouth and declared we'd all be cannibals in a few years because of global warming. You just can't make this stuff up! At first, I expected to update the site a few times a week. After all, there couldn't be that many bizarre environmental stories. How wrong I was! Updating the site has turned into a (second) full-time job. Just when I think all the bases are covered, Time magazine compares the fight against climate change with World War II, infuriating veterans. As soon as I'm sure there couldn't possibly be another nutty story to add, a pastor declares global warming "God's vengeance." When I'm ready to turn out the lights and go to bed, Osama Bin Laden's chief deputy weighs in on warming! Seriously. Of course, the nuttiest news isn't always in a story's headlines. Sometimes you have to look deeper to find the most outrageous elements of a story. On Earth Day, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's environmental reporter tossed out this nugget: "...these bashers of environmental regulation feel compelled to speak up on Earth Day, simply because Earth Day has gone so mainstream. It's a bit like the Nazis celebrating VE Day." That's a mainstream reporter comparing skeptics to Nazis! That should be a major scandal. But you will never find stories like that on the front page of the New York Times or USA Today. You will always find them on the front page of GlobalWarmingInsanity.com. That is until some global warming cannibal devours me.
